These terms apply to your use of www.cityplumbers.ca and to quotes and estimates produced through it. They do not replace the written quote or invoice for a specific job — where the two differ, the job paperwork governs.
Estimates are estimates
The price calculator on this site produces an estimate based on the items you select. It is not a binding quote. Real plumbing can differ from the description — a drain that will not clear with a snake, a shut-off that fails when it is turned, corrosion hidden behind a wall. The firm price is the one our plumber gives you on site, in person, before any work begins. You are free to decline it at that point.
The service call fee
Our published price includes a service call covering the plumber's attendance, diagnosis and the first hour on site. If you decline the work after diagnosis, the service call is still payable. It is included in — not added to — the price of work you go ahead with.
Emergency and after-hours work
Work performed at night, on weekends and on statutory holidays carries the surcharge shown in the calculator. Response times for emergencies are our genuine best effort and depend on traffic, weather and how many calls are already in the queue; we do not guarantee a fixed arrival time.
Our workmanship guarantee
We guarantee our own workmanship: if a repair we performed fails because of how we did it, we return and correct it at no additional labour charge. The guarantee does not cover fixtures or parts you supplied, damage from misuse, freezing, ground movement, tree roots returning to a line we cleared, or pre-existing conditions we identified and you chose not to address. Parts and equipment we supply carry the manufacturer's warranty, which we pass on to you.
Access, permits and property
You confirm you are the owner, or are authorised by the owner, to have the work done. Please give us safe access to the work area and to shut-off valves. Where a permit is required we will tell you before starting and the permit cost is shown separately.
Payment
Payment is due on completion unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. All prices are in Canadian dollars and HST is shown separately.

The text, layout and pricing content on this site belong to City Plumbers. You may read, print and share it; you may not republish it as your own. We keep the site accurate and up to date but cannot promise it is free of every error, and prices shown may change.
Limitation
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited under Ontario law. Beyond that, our liability for any claim connected with a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada that apply in it.
