City Plumbers ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through www.cityplumbers.ca, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It is written to meet Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
- Information you give us. When you use a callback form or the price calculator, we collect your name, phone number, email address, service address, property type, preferred timing and whatever you tell us about the job.
- Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we use Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies and records pages viewed, approximate location (city level), device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. Google Analytics does not receive your name, phone number or email address.
Why we collect it
We use the information you submit for one purpose: to contact you about the plumbing work you asked about, to prepare and send your estimate, and to carry out and invoice that work. We use the analytics information to understand which pages are useful and to measure our advertising.
What we do not do
We never sell, rent or trade your personal information. We do not add you to a marketing list without your consent, and we do not share your details with other trades, lead brokers or data brokers.
Who else sees it
Your details are handled by our own staff and by service providers who process data on our behalf under contract: Microsoft Azure (website and form hosting, Canadian and US regions), Zoho (email delivery), and Google (Analytics, and Google Ads measurement). These providers may store data outside Canada, where it can be subject to the laws of that country.
Cookies and advertising
This site uses cookies for Google Analytics and, where we run advertising, for Google Ads conversion measurement — so we can tell which ads produce real enquiries. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work. You can opt out of Google Analytics entirely with Google's opt-out browser add-on.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become jobs are kept for up to 24 months so we can answer follow-up questions and honour quoted pricing. Records of completed work are kept for seven years, as Canadian tax and business records rules require.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS and form submissions are encrypted in transit. Access to enquiry records is limited to the people who need it to do the work.
Your rights
You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@cityplumbers.ca or call 647-450-8704 and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
Children
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
